The City of Cape Coral Planning & Zoning Commission recommended approval of Ordinance 29-26 (TXT26-000006), which amends Section 4.1.5 of the Land Development Code concerning projections and encroachments into setbacks. The ordinance removes current location restrictions for single-family house mechanical equipment, including generators, and removes the restriction that equipment over 30 inches in height must comply with all building setback requirements, granting flexibility for generator placement. The public hearing had no speakers. The commission voted 6-0 to recommend approval.
