City Council

The City Council of Jacksonville met to discuss various city matters and upcoming projects. Several items on the agenda could lead to local business opportunities. These include a proposed mixed-use development at Main Street and Central Avenue, a land development project in Duval, a 5-acre mixed-use development at Main Street and Central Avenue, and a 150,000 square foot commercial development near Main Street and Bay Street. Additionally, a 5-acre site with 150 dwelling units near Main Street and Bay Street, and a 5-acre commercial project at 123 Main Street are planned. Other potential projects involve land use changes and rezoning for residential and mixed-use developments on Yellow Water Road, Pacetti Street, 8th Street, Phoenix Avenue, Heckscher Drive, Huron Street, Barnett Street, and San Jose Boulevard, as well as a food truck park on University Blvd N. Elevator repairs at City Hall are also planned.
