[101 Church Street, Kissimmee, Florida 34741-5054; case Proposed Ordinance #26-14] The City Commission will hold a public hearing and consider the second and final reading of Proposed Ordinance #26-14, which amends the City Charter, Section 6, concerning the compensation of Commissioners. The proposed amendment would allow commissioner compensation to be established within the City Code of Ordinances, rather than being fixed by the Charter based on population. This change would permit compensation adjustments without requiring a referendum vote. The ordinance was previously read for the first time on April 21, 2026, with public comments received. The City Attorney's office is presenting this item. [Throughout the City; case Contract #20240399] The City Commission will consider approving a contract extension with Miller Electric Company for the installation and maintenance of security equipment. This extension is a 'piggyback' to a contract with Osceola County, which was initially approved by the City in July 2024. Osceola County has extended their contract through October 30, 2026, and the City is requesting to extend its contract with Miller Electric through the same date. The contract number is #20240399. [Downtown Kissimmee area; case Contract # 20260201] Approval is requested for a single-source contract with AECOM, Inc. (Contract # 20260201) for design services for the Alleyway Paving Project in Downtown Kissimmee. The project is part of the Community Redevelopment Agency's (CRA) vision and complements the Connect Kissimmee Complete Streets Project. AECOM is already the design consultant for the Complete Streets Project, ensuring continuity and alignment. The contract amount is $353,891.48. Funds will be transferred from the Stormwater Fund to cover the drainage component. The agreement term is from the Notice to Proceed until April 25, 2027.
