The Ocala Planning & Zoning Commission met to review several zoning and development proposals. Potential local business opportunities were identified for a mixed-use development planned at SW 27th Avenue and SW 40th Street, and a commercial development near SE 103rd Street and SE 36th Avenue. Additionally, a rezoning at 619 SE 17th Street could lead to future commercial development, and an approved street abrogation near SW 25th Street may create work for surveyors and engineers. A separate proposal near SE 17th Street and SE 36th Avenue is also planned for commercial use, and another mixed-use development is under review for the same area.
