The West Ocala Redevelopment Advisory Committee met to discuss several planned and under review projects. Potential opportunities exist for local businesses related to a mixed-use development with 150 dwelling units and 10,000 square feet of commercial space in West Ocala. Additionally, a commercial property improvement grant not to exceed $50,000 is proposed for 3711 SW College Road. A new commercial development is also planned for the intersection of SE 17th Street and SE 36th Avenue, and a mixed-use development is planned for the area near SE 17th Street and SE 36th Avenue.
