[3795 Flypark Drive, Unit 1-3, Rockledge, FL 32955; case ANX-26-02, CPA-26-03, ZDA-26-04] Rockledge City Council approved the voluntary annexation of a 0.11+/- acre parcel at 3795 Flypark Drive, Unit 1-3, Rockledge, FL 32955 (ANX-26-02). The property's zoning changed from Brevard County IU-Industrial Use to M2-Light Industrial, and its future land use designation changed to mixed-use Planning District 7. The Council also approved a Comprehensive Plan Amendment (CPA-26-03) to revise the future land use map to include this parcel as City of Rockledge IND – Industrial in Planning District 7. Additionally, the Council approved the designation of zoning classification for this parcel as M2 - Light Industrial and Warehousing District (ZDA-26-04). All motions carried without objection. The property's zoning changed from Brevard County IU-Light Industrial to city of Rockledge M2-Light Industrial. The future land use map designation was changed to mixed-use in Planning District 7. All motions carried with no objection or without objection. There was no public comment on these items. Rockledge City Council approved the minutes of the regular meeting on May 6, 2026. Councilman Daski moved to approve the minutes, seconded by Councilwoman Martin. The motion carried unanimously (6). Rockledge City Council approved the Financial/Budget Report for April 2026. Councilman Daski moved to be in receipt of the report, seconded by Councilwoman Martin. The motion passed without objection (6). Rockledge City Council approved the appointment of Chelsea Garcia to the Planning Commission. Councilwoman Martin moved to appoint Chelsea Garcia, seconded by Councilwoman Connor. The motion carried without objection (6). Rockledge City Council approved the appointment of Jhomairis Aguero-Brooks to The Rockledge Environmental Enhancement (T.R.E.E.) Board. Councilwoman Connor moved to appoint Jhomairis Aguero-Brooks, seconded by Councilwoman Martin. The motion carried without objection (6). Rockledge City Council approved the City Clerk Oath of Office for Amber Brown, who was appointed City Clerk on May 6, 2026. City Attorney Wade Vose administered the Oath of Office. Rockledge City Council initiated the process to replace the City Manager who is retiring at the end of the calendar year. The Council discussed the draft City Manager profile, including educational, work experience, and residency requirements. Councilman Forester motioned that the search begins with internal candidates before an outside search for a City Manager. The motion carried with a vote of (5-1), with Councilmembers Cadore, Forester, Connor, Martin, and Mayor Price voting for, and Councilman Daski voting against. The internal City Manager position will be posted for 2 weeks. Valerie Kelly addressed the Council regarding the community no longer having a hospital and expressed concerns. She provided a handout showing a Community Wellness project plan and discussed the importance of multiple health services needed in the community. No action was taken on this item. [Barton Boulevard] City Manager Fettrow reported that the redevelopment repaving project on Barton Boulevard will begin on June 1, 2026, and is estimated to be completed by September 30, 2026. Work will be done primarily at night and in the evenings. City Manager Fettrow also announced a Public Safety awards program on Tuesday, May 26, 2026, at 5:30 p.m. at the Rockledge High School.
