The Economic Development Advisory Board met on April 14, 2026. The board approved the W. Fairbanks Guidance Language with two amendments. The first amendment added 'higher density housing after streetscapes' to the second sentence. The second amendment reworded the last sentence of the first paragraph to state, 'All commercial components shall be ad valorem taxable. These incentives must embrace the backbone of Winter Park business clusters, including professional, scientific, tech services, retail, finance and medical, but excluding hospitals.' The motion with both amendments carried unanimously by a 5-0 vote. The board also discussed incentives for Large Scale and Small Scale projects, primarily focusing on W. Fairbanks. Staff Updates included a review of the Econ Dev Commercial Performance Report and the Winter Park Business Academy Update. The next meeting is scheduled for May 12.
