The City Commission of Coral Gables met to discuss several upcoming projects and proposals. Potential opportunities for local contractors, trades, suppliers, and service providers include work on a new retail development near Sunset Drive and Granada Boulevard, a mixed-use development at 200 Bird Road, and a 10-story residential building at 1000 Ponce de Leon Blvd. Additionally, the commission is reviewing plans for a Smart City Research Lab and Gables TechTank Incubator, and for sidewalk and bicycle lane construction along Riviera Drive.

- A Resolution of the City Commission accepting the recommendation of the Chief Procurement Officer to extend contract no. RFP 2018-009A with Ashbritt, Inc., RFP 2018-009B with Phillips Heavy, Inc., and RFP 2018-009C with Ceres Environmental Services, Inc. for Disaster Debris Removal Services, pursuant to Section 2-764 of the City’s Procurement Code entitled “Approval of Change Orders and Contract Modifications.”
- A Resolution of the City Commission accepting the recommendation of the Police Department to waive the competitive bid process of the procurement code as a “Special Procurement/Bid Waiver” with Saferwatch, LLC. for the continuation of services, in an estimated amount of $142,500.00 for a three (3) year term pursuant to Section 2-691 of the City’s Procurement Code.
- A Resolution of the City Commission amending Resolution No. 2022-170 as Amended, which approved a Mixed Use Site Plan for the property known as "Regency Parc" and legally described as Lots 1-12 and Lots 35-46, including the public alleyway lying in between, Block 10 and Lots 1-4, Block 15, Coral Gables Crafts Section (290, 272, 250, 244 Valencia Avenue, 247, 297 Almeria Avenue, and 2701 Salzedo Street), Coral Gables, Florida, to allow for the issuance of a Temporary Certificate of Occupancy Prior to completion and conveyance of the Public Park to the City, subject to the terms and conditions of a Performance Bond or Letter of Credit Agreement, as approved by the City Manager and City Attorney.

- A Resolution of the City Commission authorizing Satchmo Blues Bar and Grill, Inc. d/b/a Fritz & Franz Bierhaus to utilize the public space and maintain a temporary Soccer Watch Party set-up at the plaza located at 60 Merrick Way from July 3, 2026 through July 19, 2026, in connection with the 2026 World Cup and to allow for set-up for sales and crowd control during the entire World Cup event from June 19, 2026 through July 19, 2026.
- A Resolution of the City Commission authorizing funding in the additional amount of $100,000.00 to the Coral Gables Cinematheque for the expansion of the Coral Gables Art Cinema at the city-owned property 240-260 Aragon Avenue, Coral Gables, Florida, with certain conditions.
- A Resolution of the City Commission authorizing the design and construction of sidewalks and bicycle lanes along Riviera Drive from Bird Road to Ponce de Leon Boulevard.
- A Resolution of the City Commission condemning the use of fictitious organizational identities and deceptive digital interfaces to conduct anonymous political intelligence-gathering operations against Coral Gables voters and to subvert the city's public records infrastructure; calling upon state and federal authorities to investigate; directing the City Attorney to pursue all available legal remedies including recovery of diverted public records; and providing for an effective date.
- A Resolution of the City Commission confirming the appointment of Dawn Adels Fine (nominated by Commissioner Castro) to serve as a member of the Emergency Management Division, for the remainder of a two (2) year term which began on June 1, 2025 and continues through May 31, 2027.
