[207 Northeast First Street, Jasper, Florida (Board Room)] The Board of County Commissioners approved a payment of $666,666.66 for Deliverable three (3) of the Broadband/Windstream project, as recommended by Thomas Howell Ferguson P.A. The board also approved an update to the 504 Transition Plan Attachment "C" and an amendment to the EEO Policy to include Veteran Owned Businesses. Economic Development Director Chuck Burnett introduced Avery Waldon, co-owner of Stateline Pipe and Products, announcing the business will be locating in Hamilton County. The Board approved an ESA Steel Services invoice for $61,301.00. Staff was authorized to let bids for work at the Alapaha Commerce Center. A resolution was adopted to allow a temporary closure of NW 13th Drive for power company construction. NFPS was authorized to obtain permits and draft plans for paving at New Bethel Baptist Church. The consent agenda was approved with the removal of Item (C). A Burn Ban was extended due to drought conditions, and a Local State of Emergency was extended due to drought/fire conditions. Bills totaling $177832 – 178016 (checks 077907 – 07962) were approved. A draft ordinance for RV/Campers will be reviewed in a workshop, and the ordinance will be advertised for public hearing. A tree hanging over the Historical Museum is to be removed, with legal paperwork to be provided by the County Attorney. NFPS needs to conduct another profile survey to determine if the road was damaged due to the Dragline crossing.
