[1800 27th Street, Vero Beach] The Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) will meet on June 10, 2026, at 10:00 AM in Building B, First Floor Conference Room (B1-501), 1800 27th Street, Vero Beach. The agenda includes consideration of the FY 2027 – 2031 Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) and the 2026 List of Priority Projects. A presentation by FDOT on CR 510 Improvements is also scheduled. The MPO previously approved the FY 2026/27 – FY 2027/28 Unified Planning Work Program (UPWP) and the 2026 Title VI Program Update on April 8, 2026. Public comments at the April 8th meeting included concerns from Wabasso residents regarding CR 510 widening and the closure of the 87th Street railroad crossing. The Technical Advisory Committee (TAC), Citizens Advisory Committee (CAC), and Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Committee (BPAC) met on May 29, 2026, and June 2, 2026, respectively. They considered and recommended approval of the Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) for FY 2027-2031, the 2026 List of Priority Projects, and the General Planning Consultants Scope of Services. [CR 510 from CR 512 to US 1] FDOT is providing an update on CR 510 Improvements at the June 10, 2026, MPO meeting. The project involves widening CR 510 to four lanes from CR 512 to US 1, a 5.9-mile corridor, including sidewalks and bike lanes on both sides, a roundabout at 66th Avenue, and a two-lane flyover at the FEC railroad and US 1 intersection. The project is divided into five segments, with the first segment (CR 512 to 87th Street) construction beginning in late 2025.
