[Unincorporated area of Jackson County; case Ordinance No. 2026-______] Jackson County Board of County Commissioners will hold a public hearing and second reading for an ordinance establishing a ban on data centers and associated facilities in the unincorporated areas of the county. This follows a previous moratorium and first reading. The ordinance prohibits the acceptance, processing, review, and issuance of any development applications, permits, or other county approvals for data centers and associated facilities. Exceptions are provided for ordinary repairs, interior alterations, emergency work, government-owned facilities, public utility infrastructure, telecommunications facilities, and accessory IT facilities for lawful principal uses.
