Miami-Dade County Board of County Commissioners (BCC) is considering a resolution to approve a Preferential Berthing Rights Agreement between Miami-Dade County and Classica Cruise Operator Ltd. d/b/a Margaritaville at Sea (MVAS). The agreement is expected to have a positive fiscal impact of $23,148,594.00 to the County over its five-year term, commencing January 9, 2027, through April 30, 2031, with two optional five-year renewals. MVAS will be granted preferential berthing rights at Cruise Terminal C. The agreement includes a Minimum Annual Guarantee based on vessel calls and passenger fees, with a 3% annual escalation. Incentives for parking, marketing, and non-peak day/evening calls are also included. The Aviation and Seaport Committee forwarded this item to the BCC with a favorable recommendation on June 8, 2026. The Board of County Commissioners is scheduled to review this on July 21, 2026.
