Miami-Dade County Board of County Commissioners is considering a resolution to approve a Preferential Berthing Rights Agreement between Miami-Dade County and Classica Cruise Operator Ltd. d/b/a Margaritaville at Sea (MVAS). The agreement is anticipated to have a positive fiscal impact of $23,148,594.00 to the County over its five-year term, commencing January 9, 2027, through April 30, 2031, with two optional five-year renewal terms. MVAS will be granted preferential berthing rights at Cruise Terminal C. The agreement includes a Minimum Annual Guarantee based on vessel calls and a port fee structure with a 3% annual escalation. Incentives for parking, marketing, non-peak day calls, and evening calls are also included. The Aviation and Seaport Committee forwarded this item to the Board of County Commissioners with a favorable recommendation on June 8, 2026. The Board of County Commissioners is scheduled to review this on July 21, 2026.
