Miami-Dade County is approving a Professional Services Agreement (PSA) with CES Consultants, Inc. as part of a pool of architectural and engineering consultants. This contract, for general engineering and inspection services for the Miami-Dade Aviation Department at Miami International Airport (MIA), has a maximum combined amount of $41,353,125.00 and a term of five years with a five-year renewal option. The services will support Capital Improvement Program (CIP) projects, including construction and renovation of buildings, civil projects, and mechanical/electrical equipment installation and upgrades. The Aviation Department determined it lacks the in-house capabilities for these specialized services. The contract was recommended for approval by the Aviation and Seaport Committee and will be presented to the Board of County Commissioners. CES Consultants, Inc. was the fifth-ranked firm selected from fifteen compliant proposals. The contract includes provisions for sea level rise and sustainable building practices.
