Miami-Dade County is approving a contract with EAC Consulting, Inc. as part of a pool of architectural and engineering consultants to provide general engineering and inspection services for the Miami-Dade Aviation Department at Miami International Airport. The contract, number E25AV01D, has a maximum combined amount of $41,353,125.00 for a term of five years with one five-year renewal option. Services will include routine construction inspection, threshold inspection, commissioning, quality assurance, progress reporting, and performance documentation. The project is part of the Miami International Airport's modernization plan, which has been expanded to $12 billion. EAC Consulting, Inc. was the fourth-highest ranked firm selected from fifteen compliant proposals. The contract is subject to sea level rise considerations and sustainable building practices.
