Miami-Dade County Board of County Commissioners is approving a Professional Services Agreement (PSA) with HDR Engineering, Inc. for general engineering and inspection services for the Miami-Dade Aviation Department at Miami International Airport. The contract, number E25AV01A, has a maximum combined amount of $41,353,125.00 for a five-year term with a five-year renewal option. HDR will provide routine construction inspection, threshold inspection, and commissioning services for various capital improvement projects, including terminal, concourse, runway, and infrastructure upgrades. The Aviation Department determined it lacks the in-house capabilities for these specialized services. The contract is part of a pool of five agreements to support the airport's modernization plan, which has been expanded to $12 billion. The work will be assigned via service orders.
