Miami-Dade County is approving a Professional Services Agreement (PSA) with Nifah & Partners Consulting Engineers, Inc. to provide general engineering and inspection services for the Miami-Dade Aviation Department at Miami International Airport. This is part of a pool of consultants for capital improvement projects. The contract has a maximum amount of $41,353,125.00 for a five-year term with a potential five-year renewal. Services include routine construction inspection, specialized threshold inspections, and commissioning of building systems. The project is part of the Miami International Airport's modernization plan, which has been expanded to $12 billion. The Aviation Department determined it lacks the in-house capabilities for these specialized services. Nifah & Partners Consulting Engineers, Inc. was the third-ranked firm selected after a competitive process involving sixteen proposals. The contract requires adherence to sea level rise projections and the County's Sustainable Buildings Program.
