Miami-Dade County is approving a Professional Services Agreement (PSA) with Nifah & Partners Consulting Engineers, Inc. to provide general engineering and inspection services for the Miami-Dade Aviation Department at Miami International Airport. This is part of a pool of consultants to support the airport's modernization plan. The contract has a maximum amount of $41,353,125.00 for an initial five-year term with a five-year renewal option. Services include routine construction inspection, threshold inspection, and commissioning of building systems. The Aviation Department determined it lacks the in-house capabilities for these specialized services. The contract is funded through future financing and reserve maintenance funds. Nifah & Partners Consulting Engineers, Inc. was the third-ranked firm selected after a competitive process involving sixteen proposals. The agreement is subject to sea level rise considerations and sustainable building practices.
