Miami-Dade County Board of County Commissioners approved the award of a competitive revenue-generating contract, Contract No. EVN0028376, for the Concourse K Concession Program at Miami International Airport to OTG MIA Venture, LLC. The contract is for the development and management of 17 retail and food and beverage concession spaces, totaling approximately 19,073 square feet, within the upcoming Concourse K. The projected revenue to Miami-Dade Aviation Department over an initial 11-year term (including two years for construction and nine for operations) with one one-year option to renew is $62,200,000. The Concessionaire will be responsible for financing, design, leasing, tenant coordination, construction, and property management of these spaces. The project advances the airport's modernization initiative and aims to enhance passenger experience and generate non-aeronautical revenue. The award was made after a competitive Request for Proposals process where four proposals were initially received, but three were deemed non-responsive due to failure to submit a revenue proposal. The Living Wage Ordinance applies to this contract.
