Miami-Dade County Board of County Commissioners approved a contract award to Lemartec-NV2A JV, LLC for the Miami International Airport (MIA) Concourse F to H Interconnector project. The project involves construction services to implement post-security interconnectivity between multiple concourses at MIA. The contract amount is $50,930,968.00, with a contract term of 820 consecutive calendar days. The project includes construction of a new four-story structure connecting Concourse G to Concourse H, tenant relocations between Concourse F and Concourse H, and reconfiguration of existing office spaces into a secure/sterile corridor connecting Concourse F, G, and H. The project is part of MIA's $12 billion Modernization In Action (M.I.A.) Plan. The base bid from Lemartec-NV2A was significantly lower than the engineer's estimate, with a responsibility review confirming their capability. The project will comply with sustainable building practices and consider sea level rise projections.
