Miami-Dade County Commissioners are considering approving Amendment No. 3 to the 2012 Container Handling Crane Maintenance Management Agreement with Port of Miami Crane Management, Inc. (PMCM). This amendment waives competitive bidding and adds five additional one-year renewals to the existing agreement. The estimated annual cost is $25,287,000.00, totaling $126,435,000.00 if all renewals are exercised. PMCM is a nonprofit created and funded by the County to manage maintenance of seaport gantry cranes and other cargo handling equipment. The Aviation and Seaport Committee forwarded the resolution with a favorable recommendation to the Board of County Commissioners (BCC).
