PORT OF MIAMI CRANE MANAGEMENT, INC.
Aviation and Seaport Committee · 2026-07-13 · resolution
Miami-Dade County Commission is considering Resolution File Number 261160, which seeks to waive competitive bidding to approve and execute Amendment No. 3 to the 2012 Container Handling Crane Maintenance Management Agreement with Port of Miami Crane Management, Inc. (PMCM). This amendment would provide five additional one-year renewals to the agreement. The estimated annual cost is $25,287,000.00, totaling $126,435,000.00 if all renewal options are exercised. PMCM is a Florida not-for-profit corporation created and funded by the County, uniquely qualified to manage the maintenance of the Port's gantry cranes and cargo handling equipment, including Rubber-Tired Gantry Cranes and Passenger Boarding Bridges. Approximately 45% of PMCM's budget is allocated to International Longshoremen's Association (ILA) labor. The Aviation and Seaport Committee forwarded this item with a favorable recommendation to the Board of County Commissioners (BCC). The BCC agenda date is July 21, 2026.
