Miami-Dade County Board of County Commissioners is considering the award of a competitive revenue-generating contract, Contract No. EVN0000341, for an American Sports Bar at Miami International Airport (MIA) to SSP America MIA, LLC. The projected revenue for the Miami-Dade Aviation Department (MDAD) is $12,000,000.00 over a 10-year term. The concession will be located on the third floor of the Concourse E Satellite Building and will feature a U.S. stadium-inspired concept. The contract was awarded after a competitive RFP process where three proposals were received, but only SSP America MIA, LLC was deemed compliant and responsive. The Aviation and Seaport Committee forwarded the item to the Board of County Commissioners with a favorable recommendation on July 13, 2026. The Board is scheduled to consider the item on September 1, 2026.
