Miami-Dade Board of County Commissioners approved the award of a competitive revenue-generating contract, Contract No. EVN0000341, for an American Sports Bar at Miami International Airport (MIA) to SSP America MIA, LLC. The contract is for a 10-year term with projected revenues of $12,000,000.00 for the Miami-Dade Aviation Department. The concession will be located on the third floor of the Concourse E Satellite Building and will feature a U.S. stadium-inspired concept. The vendor is required to pay the County the greater of a percentage of gross revenues (18% for alcohol sales, 14% for other sales) or the prevailing Class VI Terminal rental rate. The contract includes provisions for finance, design, construction, management, operation, and maintenance. Two other proposals were deemed non-responsive due to failure to submit pricing.
