CARPAU SPECIAL TAXING DISTRICT

Miami-Dade County Board of County Commissioners adopted an ordinance creating the CARPAU Multipurpose Maintenance and Street Lighting Special Taxing District. The district is generally bounded by Theoretical SW 290 Terrace (North), Harriet Tubman Highway (East), Theoretical SW 292 Street (South), and SW 162 Avenue (West). Services will include maintenance of landscaped areas, common areas, entrance features, wetlands, lakes, and exterior fencing/walls, as well as street lighting. The initial estimated cost for multipurpose maintenance is $17,460.00 for the second year, and for street lighting, it is $14,262.16 for the first year and $685.11 for the second year. The street lighting installation and operation will be under an agreement with Homestead Energy Services. The developer, CFF Development Group, LLC, is the sole property owner and requested the district's creation. The district was adopted on May 19, 2026, after a first reading on April 21, 2026.
