Miami-Dade County Board of County Commissioners adopted a resolution ratifying the execution of a grant agreement with the United States Department of Transportation (USDOT) Federal Transit Administration (FTA) for $1,250,000.00. These funds, under the FY 2023 Pilot Program for Transit-Oriented Development (TOD) Planning, will be used to prepare a Master TOD Plan for the Little Haiti Commuter Rail Station, which is part of the Northeast Corridor project. The plan aims to encourage equitable transit-oriented growth, enhance multimodal transportation, provide job access, and encourage affordable, higher-density housing. The project is located in Commission District 3. The County anticipates completing work plan activities within four years of the grant award. No matching contribution is required from Miami-Dade County.
