Miami-Dade County adopted an ordinance creating the Julia's Estate Multipurpose Maintenance and Street Lighting Special Taxing District. The district will provide for the maintenance of landscaped areas, common areas, entrance features, wetlands, and lakes, as well as street lighting services. The developer, The Estates at Skylake Dev Group, LLC, initiated the petition, with 100% of property owners signing. The district is generally bounded by Theoretical West Oakland Haven Circle to the north and east, NE 199 Street to the south, and Lake Area to the west. The estimated initial cost for multipurpose maintenance is $21,374.27 annually, and for street lighting is $20,739.13 for the first year, with subsequent years adjusted based on actual costs. Street lighting services are expected to commence in November 2028.
