Miami-Dade County adopted an ordinance creating the Julia's Estate Multipurpose Maintenance and Street Lighting Special Taxing District. The district will provide for the maintenance of landscaped areas, common areas, entrance features, wetlands, and lakes, as well as street lighting services. The developer, The Estates at Skylake Dev Group, LLC, petitioned for the district. Services will be funded by special assessments. Street lighting installation is expected to commence in November 2028, with maintenance services beginning after the developer and any subsequent association or CDD cease providing them. The estimated first-year cost for street lighting is $20,739.13, and the estimated second-year cost for multipurpose maintenance is $21,374.27.
