Miami-Dade County adopted an ordinance creating the Julia's Estate Multipurpose Maintenance and Street Lighting Special Taxing District. The district is generally bounded by Theoretical West Oakland Haven Circle to the north and east, NE 199 Street to the south, and Lake Area to the west. Services will include maintenance of landscaped areas, common areas, entrance features, wetlands, lakes, and exterior fences/walls, as well as street lighting. The developer, The Estates at Skylake Dev Group, LLC, initiated the petition. Initial costs for street lighting are estimated at $20,739.13 for the first year, and multipurpose maintenance costs are estimated at $21,374.27 for the second year (as maintenance services are dormant initially). Street lighting services are expected to commence in November 2028. The district was approved by 100% of property owners.
