ACQUISITION OF THE FUEL FACILITY

Miami-Dade County Commission is proceeding with the acquisition of a fuel facility property located on Fisher Island, identified as Parcels 1 and 2, for the continued operation of PortMiami. The property is currently owned by HRP Fisher Island, LLC and operated by TransMontaigne Terminals, LLC, with operations slated to cease by May 2027 as HRP intends to repurpose the site for residential housing. The County aims to acquire the property via negotiation or eminent domain, with an authorized incentive offer up to 15% over appraised value. Appraisals range from $25 million to $430 million, and funding will come from Seaport Revenue Bonds. The acquisition is deemed a public necessity to ensure continuous fuel supply for PortMiami's critical cruise and cargo operations, which contribute significantly to the regional economy.
