Miami-Dade County Board of County Commissioners adopted Resolution R-476-26, approving the Fiscal Year 2026-2027 Annual Public Housing Agency Plan. This plan, submitted by the Housing and Community Development Department, includes policy updates such as establishing a site-based waiting list for Helen Sawyer Plaza Assisted Living Facility and standardizing admission preferences with a weighted point system. It also addresses demolition and disposition activities, updates Project-Based Voucher (PBV) resident rights, and revises project configurations for several developments including Rainbow Village/Gwen Cherry, Culmer Place/Culmer Gardens, Newberg/New Haven Gardens, Victory Homes, Arthur Mays, Naranja, Pine Island, Modello II, Kline Nunn, Little River Plaza, and Little River Terrace. The plan was made available for public review and comment from January 22, 2026, to March 7, 2026. The Resident Advisory Board met on January 29, 2026, and Legal Services of Greater Miami, Inc. provided comments on March 10, 2026, which were noted as consistent with previous feedback or addressed through existing policies and future initiatives. The County Mayor or designee is authorized to submit the plan and any necessary revisions to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).
