Miami-Dade County adopted the Fiscal Year 2026-2027 Annual Public Housing Agency Plan. This plan standardizes admission preferences across housing programs, implements a weighted point system for waitlists (prioritizing homeless, veterans, and special populations), and updates policies for demolition/disposition activities and Project-Based Vouchers. A site-based waiting list for Helen Sawyer Plaza Assisted Living Facility is established. The plan was submitted to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) for approval. Public comment included concerns about Housing Quality Standards enforcement for residents with disabilities and the transition to a point-based system for housing vouchers.
