Miami-Dade County Board of County Commissioners accepted a report on an agreement with South Florida Behavioral Health Network, Inc. d/b/a Thriving Mind South Florida for behavioral health services. The agreement, initially authorized by Resolution No. R-95-24, provides $1.0 million annually for services through the Miami-Dade County Central Receiving Facility (CRF). The report covers Fiscal Years 2022-23, 2023-24, and 2024-25, detailing performance metrics. The program served over 5,000 uninsured individuals with mental health and substance use disorders. Key performance indicators such as intake/assessment compliance, outpatient appointment timeliness, follow-up calls, and alternative appointment securing were met or exceeded contractual deliverables. Readmission rates for Crisis Stabilization Unit (CSU) and detoxification services remained below benchmarks. The agreement has up to four one-year options to renew. The report was requested by Resolution No. R-95-24, sponsored by Senator Rene Garcia.
