Miami-Dade County Commission ratified an emergency contract (E-10658, Phase 1) for Central Chiller Plant Condenser Water Repairs at Miami International Airport (MIA) to Botas Engineering, Inc. for $305,228. The repairs are necessary due to failures in the condenser water system and structural deterioration of cooling towers, impacting the airport's cooling capacity and posing an operational emergency. Phase 2, involving construction services, is anticipated to cost approximately $35 million and will be bid separately. The contract was adopted on June 2, 2026.
