CHANGE ORDER #1 TO MCM (S-16094)

Miami-Dade County Board of County Commissioners ratified Change Order No. 1 to Contract No. S-16094 with Magnum Construction Management, LLC. This change order grants a 51-day non-compensable time extension for the construction of the Central District Wastewater Treatment Plant (CDWWTP) New Materials Management Building and Storage Areas. The extension is due to delays in obtaining a Class VI Permit, attributed to the specialized design and environmental sensitivity of the coastal location. The project involves earthwork, paving, grading, a pile foundation system, structural roofing, HVAC, plumbing, fire pumps, electrical components, and network infrastructure. The new facility will be 3,525 square feet and is designed to meet sea level rise guidelines and achieve LEED Silver Certification. This upgrade will allow for the demolition of an existing storage building to make way for a new Electrical Distribution Building No. 3. The original contract award was $28,095,287.50. The Substantial Completion Date is revised from March 21, 2026, to May 11, 2026, and the Final Completion Date from April 20, 2026, to June 10, 2026. There is no additional fiscal impact to the County. The project is located at the CDWWTP in Commission District 7.
