Miami-Dade County Board of County Commissioners adopted a resolution to declare county-owned property surplus and authorize its conveyance to the City of Miami for $10.00. This conveyance is for a right-of-way dedication related to the Claude Pepper Tower public housing site redevelopment. The property consists of two parcels: one at the southwest corner of NW 7th Avenue/US-441 and NW 18th Terrace (442 sq ft) and another at the northeast corner of NW 8th Avenue and NW 18th Street (118 sq ft), totaling approximately 560 sq ft. The redevelopment of the Claude Pepper Tower project, managed by RUDG, LLC, will result in approximately 628 mixed-income units, replacing 166 existing public housing units. The City of Miami requires this right-of-way dedication as a condition for issuing building permits for the project. The property will revert to the County if the public use is discontinued.
