Miami-Dade County Board of County Commissioners adopted a resolution to declare county-owned property surplus and authorize its conveyance to the City of Miami for $10.00. The property, located at the southwest corner of NW 7th Avenue/US-441 and NW 18th Terrace, and the northeast corner of NW 8th Avenue and NW 18th Street, is intended for a right-of-way dedication related to the Claude Pepper Tower public housing project redevelopment. The project, undertaken by RUDG, LLC, will consist of approximately 628 mixed-income units, replacing existing public housing units. The conveyance is a condition for obtaining building permits from the City of Miami, which requires a 25-foot radius dedication at street intersections. The total area conveyed is approximately 560 square feet, comprising two parcels: 442 square feet and 118 square feet. The property is encumbered by a declaration of trust in favor of HUD, but this conveyance is exempt from federal regulations.
