Miami-Dade County Board of County Commissioners adopted a resolution to declare county-owned property surplus and authorize its conveyance to the City of Miami for $10.00. This property, located at the southwest corner of NW 7th Avenue/US-441 and NW 18th Terrace, and the northeast corner of NW 8th Avenue and NW 18th Street, is intended for a right-of-way dedication related to the Claude Pepper Tower public housing site redevelopment. The redevelopment project, undertaken by RUDG, LLC, will consist of approximately 628 mixed-income units, replacing existing public housing units. The conveyance is a condition for obtaining building permits for the Claude Pepper project, as required by City of Miami code for street intersection radius dedications. The property will revert to the County if the public use is discontinued.
