Miami-Dade County Commissioners considered the City of Miami's codesignation of Northwest 14th Avenue between Northwest 28th Street and Northwest 26th Street as "Wilfredo ‘Willy’ Gort Way". The item was deferred to no date certain by Commissioner Hardemon. The proposed codesignation honors Wilfredo Gort for his extensive public service and contributions to the community, including his roles as City Commissioner, Vice Mayor, and Acting Mayor of Miami, and his advocacy for seniors, working families, and neighborhood preservation. The City of Miami requested the County install signage for this codesignation.
