Miami-Dade County Board of County Commissioners adopted Resolution R-487-26 on June 2, 2026, authorizing an additional three-year term and two one-year options to renew for Contract No. BW733-2/25 with OpenText, Inc. for Documentum Software License, Support, and Maintenance Services. The expenditure authority is increased by $7,346,096.00, bringing the total modified amount to $13,405,520.00. This contract is for the Communications, Information and Technology Department (CITD) on behalf of County departments and Constitutional offices. The software supports enterprise web content management (TeamSite) and enterprise content management (Documentum), managing millions of documents and supporting over 30 County websites, including miamidade.gov. The extension is considered the most cost-effective approach to ensure uninterrupted access to these critical systems while future procurement requirements are developed. The contract was originally awarded to OpenText through Resolution No. R-768-21 on July 20, 2021, for a five-year term, and the Documentum software was initially procured through Resolution No. R-967-11 on November 15, 2011. The current contract expires September 30, 2026, and with the approved extension, will expire September 30, 2031.
