Miami-Dade County Board of County Commissioners adopted a resolution approving a State-Funded Grant Agreement with the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) for roadway improvements along NW 12 Street. The project involves widening and resurfacing NW 12 Street to add dedicated bus-only lanes, increasing capacity for existing turn lanes, and constructing new turn lanes. Improvements will also be made to the Florida Turnpike exit ramps and the right-turn lane from Dolphin Mall at NW 114 Avenue. The goal is to improve access and connectivity to the Dolphin Station Park-and-Ride facility. The total estimated project cost is $7,096,360, with FDOT providing up to $3,548,180 and the remaining 50% funded by Charter County Transportation Surtax funds. The project is anticipated to be completed by June 30, 2030.
