Miami-Dade County Board of County Commissioners adopted a resolution approving a state-funded grant agreement with the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) for roadway improvements along NW 12 Street. The project involves widening and resurfacing NW 12 Street from the Dolphin Park-and-Ride facility near NW 122nd Avenue to NW 114th Avenue, including adding dedicated bus-only lanes, increasing capacity for existing turn lanes, and constructing new turn lanes. Improvements will also be made to Florida Turnpike exit ramps and the right-turn lane from Dolphin Mall at NW 114th Avenue. The total estimated project cost is $7,096,360, with FDOT providing up to $3,548,180 and the remaining 50% funded by Charter County Transportation Surtax funds. The project is anticipated to be completed by June 30, 2030.
