Miami-Dade County Board of County Commissioners adopted a resolution authorizing a three-year extension for Prequalification Pool No. RTQ-00867, which provides Emergency Push & Clear and Debris Removal Services for multiple county departments. This extension is time-only and does not request additional expenditure authority. The pool covers services such as pushing, clearing, and hauling debris, stump removal, and hazardous tree removal. Any contract award under this pool exceeding $5,000,000, or $1,500,000 for the Miami-Dade Aviation Department, requires Board ratification. The pool was initially established on November 8, 2018, with a cumulative allocation of $330,500,000, which remains unchanged. The primary users are the Parks, Recreation, and Open Spaces Department and the Department of Transportation and Public Works, with other departments also having access. Currently, there are 12 active prequalified vendors, nine of which have local addresses. Due diligence was performed, noting ongoing litigation for two vendors (T.F.R. Enterprises, Inc. and Thomas Maintenance Services, Inc.) and prior resolved litigation for T.F.R. Enterprises, Inc. and Weed-A-Way, Inc., none of which adversely impacted the County's pool. Small Business Enterprise measures and Local Preference do not apply due to the funding source.
