Miami-Dade County Board of County Commissioners adopted Resolution R-485-26 on June 2, 2026, authorizing a three-year extension for Prequalification Pool No. RTQ-00867, which provides Emergency Push & Clear and Debris Removal Services for multiple county departments. This extension is time-only and does not request additional expenditure authority. The pool, originally established on November 8, 2018, with an initial allocation of $330,000,000, supports services such as pushing, clearing, and hauling vegetative debris, removal of stumps, and hazardous leaning trees and limbs. The extension allows for continued as-needed procurement during declared emergencies. Contract awards under the pool exceeding $5,000,000, or $1,500,000 for the Miami-Dade Aviation Department, require Board ratification. The pool currently has 12 active vendors, nine with local addresses. Due diligence was performed on all vendors, with two vendors (T.F.R. Enterprises, Inc. and Thomas Maintenance Services, Inc.) noted as having ongoing litigation, and two others (T.F.R. Enterprises, Inc. and Weed-A-Way, Inc.) having prior resolved litigation histories. No issues were identified that adversely impacted the County's pool or vendor responsibility.
