Miami-Dade County Board of County Commissioners adopted a resolution authorizing a three-year extension for Prequalification Pool No. RTQ-00867, which provides Emergency Push & Clear and Debris Removal Services for multiple county departments. This extension is for time only, with no additional expenditure authority requested. The pool covers services such as pushing, clearing, and hauling vegetative debris, stump removal, and hazardous tree removal. Contract awards under the pool exceeding $5,000,000, or $1,500,000 for the Miami-Dade Aviation Department, require Board ratification. The pool was initially established on November 8, 2018, with a cumulative allocation of $330,500,000, which remains unchanged. The primary users are the Parks, Recreation, and Open Spaces Department and the Department of Transportation and Public Works, with access also granted to the Miami-Dade Aviation Department, People and Internal Operations Department, and the Miami-Dade Public Library System. The extension aims to maintain efficiency and streamline procurement processes for these critical emergency services. Twelve vendors are currently prequalified, with nine having local addresses. Due diligence was performed on all vendors, with noted ongoing or prior litigation for T.F.R. Enterprises, Inc. and Thomas Maintenance Services, Inc., and prior litigation for Weed-A-Way, Inc., none of which adversely impacted the County's pool.
