Miami-Dade County Board of County Commissioners adopted a resolution authorizing a three-year extension for Prequalification Pool No. RTQ-00867, which provides Emergency Push & Clear and Debris Removal Services for multiple county departments. This extension is time-only and does not request additional expenditure authority. The pool is used on an as-needed basis during declared emergencies for services such as pushing, clearing, and hauling debris, and removing hazardous trees and limbs. The extension aims to maintain efficiency and reduce administrative work for both the County and existing vendors. The pool was originally established in 2018 with an allocation of $330,000,000. Currently, there are 12 active prequalified vendors, nine of which have local addresses. Contract awards under the pool exceeding $5,000,000, or $1,500,000 for the Miami-Dade Aviation Department, require ratification by the Board. Due diligence was performed on vendors, with two vendors noted to have ongoing litigation, but no issues were identified that would impact their ability to perform services. Small Business Enterprise measures and Local Preference do not apply due to the funding source.
