HOLE IN THE DOUGHNUT CONVEYANCE

Miami-Dade County Commissioners approved the amended Resolution R-472-26 on June 2, 2026, by an 11-0 vote, to declare surplus and convey approximately 32 acres of vacant, county-owned land adjacent to the Homestead Air Reserve Base to the United States of America, acting through the Department of the Air Force. The conveyance is at no cost and for military purposes to support national defense interests. Provisions regarding appraisals were waived. The land is identified by portions of Folio Nos. 30-7901-000-0090, 30-7901-000-0210, and 30-7901-000-0220. The property was originally transferred to the County from the U.S. Government at no cost and will be conveyed back similarly. Water main extensions will be required by the Air Force, and an environmental baseline study is pending.
