Miami-Dade County Board of County Commissioners adopted Resolution R-558-26, authorizing the negotiation and execution of amendments to lease and land use plans for the Mental Health Center located at 2200 NW 7th Avenue, Miami, Florida 33127. The resolution approves non-competitive designated purchases for contracts with The Village South, Inc. (and its parent WestCare Foundation, Inc.) for mental health services up to $27,218,627.00, and The Advocate Program Inc. for ancillary services up to $4,169,861.00. Total estimated costs for services and building operations over the initial three-year term are up to $45,687,127.00. The resolution also approves the Miami-Dade County Opioid Funding Disbursement and Implementation Plan for FY 2025-2026 through September 30, 2031, and directs the County Mayor to issue expedited RFPs for outpatient treatment and transitional housing services for the seventh and sixth floors of the Center, respectively. The Board also establishes a framework for ongoing oversight, data collection, and reporting on the Center's operations and effectiveness.
