Miami-Dade County Commissioners adopted a resolution authorizing the negotiation and execution of amendments to a lease and plans for the Mental Health Center located at 2200 NW 7th Avenue, Miami, Florida. This action approves non-competitive contracts for services at the Center totaling up to $45,687,127.00. The contracts are with The Village South, Inc. (and its parent WestCare Foundation, Inc.) for mental health services, up to $27,218,627.00 for a three-year term with renewal options, and The Advocate Program Inc. for ancillary services, up to $4,169,861.00 for a three-year term with renewal options. Additional estimated operating costs to the County are not to exceed $14,298,639.00 annually. The resolution also approves an Opioid Funding Disbursement and Implementation Plan for Fiscal Year 2025-2026 through September 30, 2031. The County Mayor is directed to issue an expedited request for proposals for outpatient treatment services and transitional housing. The resolution mandates research, data collection, oversight, and biannual reviews and reports.
