Miami-Dade County Board of County Commissioners adopted a resolution approving the amended Fiscal Year 2025-26 budget for the Miami Gardens Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA) and the Miami Gardens Community Redevelopment Area. The total budget is $13,491,027. A key condition for the budget's effectiveness is the successful negotiation of a right-to-use agreement for the Miami Gardens Performing Arts Center (also known as the North Dade Cultural Arts Center) by the County Mayor or designee. This agreement would allow the County to use the center for at least six official events annually at no cost. If this agreement cannot be negotiated within 60 days of the resolution's effective date, the resolution will be void. The budget includes $10,651,409 for the Performing Arts Center reserves, $2,000,000 for professional services related to the center, $500,418 for the Agency's SMART Plan contribution, $300,000 for infrastructure improvements, and administrative/operating expenses.
